Kehillat Shalom has been selected by the United Synagogue of
Conservative Judaism as the Emerging Kehillah to have a Gladstein
Fellow serve our congregation.
Rabbinical student Eytan Hammerman is the Gladstein Fellow who
will be spending the next two years with Kehillat Shalom.
Kehillat Shalom (KS) is an
egalitarian, conservative, participatory, family and
community-friendly congregation. Our congregation is filled
with spirit and ruach. We provide a place where people can
pray together and care together, a place where adults and
children can learn about Judaism and its rich heritage, where
children can feel comfortable in and out of services; a place
where everyone knows your name
We feel a commitment and
obligation to each other personally as well as to the community
at large. We share our lives with each other. We rejoice with
each other at weddings, births and B’nai Mitzvah. We comfort
each other in times of grief and stress. Our caring, supportive
community embraces conservative Jewish values.
We are always looking for Kiddush
sponsors, so if you would
like to
sponsor a Kiddush for any occasion,
please contact the
Kehillat Shalom
office at 847-676-3093.
